PLANET, is pleased to announce that the consortium it leads has been awarded the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance and Supervision for Yüksekova Wastewater Treatment Plant”, EuropeAid/139572/IH/SER/TR”.

The other consortium partners are: Applus Norcontrol SLU (ES), Hydroment Consulting Engineers SA (GR), NKY Mimarlık Mühendislik İnşaat ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. (TR), and Planet Turkey Yönetim ve Geliştirme Danışmanlık A.Ş. (TR).

The Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urbanization is acting as the Contracting Authority, while Yüksekova Municipality is the End Recipient of Assistance (main beneficiary).

The project is included in Turkey’s Environment and Climate Action Sectoral Operational Programme (ESOP), aiming at achieving a high level of environmental protection and compliance with the Turkish and EU water and wastewater sector legislation.

Its scope includes the provision of construction supervision for Yüksekova’s wastewater treatment plant according to FIDIC Yellow Book, while building at the same time the administrative, financial and technical capacity of Yüksekova Municipality to set up and operate the Municipal Water Utility Department that will be managing and running the newly constructed plant.
