Two tenders of major importance for PPC Renewables S.A. (PPCR S.A.), were recently concluded successfully, awarding the supply, transportation, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the Equipment and the construction of Balance of Plant (BoP) of ten wind farms in Greek islands of a total capacity of 19,80MW and of one wind farm in Crete of a total capacity of 7,50MW.
Tender Dossier for both tenders were prepared by PLANET, which in collaboration with PPCR, identified interfaces of the divided objectives and included the necessary provisions within the Tender Documents in order to ensure the most appropriate risk allocation between the various contractual parts, the Owner, the Supply Contractor and the BoP Contractor.
It should be noted that the aforementioned projects were previously tendered, unsuccessfully twice, as TURN-KEY contracts, aiming to be awarded to an EPC Contractor, who would have been responsible for both the supply of the equipment and for the construction of the BoP works. Following PPCR’s option to divide the scope of work for Wind Farms’ implementation, PLANET proceeded to the proper amendment and adjustment of the Tender Documents based on the needs and requirements of PPCR, taking also into account the consultation with the market.
